Councilmember Roberto Uranga and Mayor Rex Richardson would like to invite you to participate in a community convening on Friday, August 4th, from 11:00am-12:00pm at Century Villages at Cabrillo in their Anchor Place Community Room (2001 River Avenue, Long Beach, CA, 90810) where they will discuss their vision for the Westside Promise Challenge: a new city-led initiative aimed at meaningfully increasing investments to improve open space, public health, environmental health, and public infrastructure in West Long Beach over the next 10 years.
During this kick-off convening, the Mayor will highlight a series of new community and capital investments that the city will be making in West Long Beach as a part of the FY24 budget, and will also be calling on our partners in the nonprofit, philanthropic, and private sectors to join the City of Long Beach in identifying additional investments and commitments that can be made to West Long Beach over the next decade to help improve the health and success of this vibrant community.
We hope to see you at this important gathering of West Long Beach resident and community leaders.
To submit your RSVP for the convening, or if you have any questions, please contact Parker Houston from the Mayor’s Office at: [email protected]. For your convenience, we have also attached driving directions and a campus map of the meeting venue.
